Do I need permission before a tree can be removed?

Sometimes — it depends on whether the tree is protected. We check this for every job before any work is agreed, so you're never caught out after the fact.

How long does a typical tree removal take?

Most domestic jobs are completed within a single visit, usually a few hours depending on the tree's size and how it needs to come down. We'll give you a realistic time estimate with your quote.

Will you take away all the branches and waste?

Yes. Everything is chipped or loaded out on the same visit, and the site is swept before we leave — you're not left to deal with anything afterward.

Will removing the tree damage my lawn, fence?

Every job starts with a proper risk assessment and a plan for exactly how and where each section comes down. Access routes are planned to avoid unnecessary damage.

Crown Reduction — NORTH WEST & CHESHIRE

Crown Reduction — Less Height and Spread, Same Tree

Cutting a tree back too far or in the wrong places can ruin its shape for good — done properly, reduction takes the size down while the tree still looks like itself. It's the right call when a tree's shading out the garden, hanging over next door, or simply outgrown the space it's in, and it keeps the tree healthy for years to come rather than causing it long-term stress.

What We Do

  • Reduction to specific clearance heights over roofs, fences, and overhead lines

  • Crown lifts over driveways, pavements, and access paths

  • Reshaping and rebalancing trees after storm or wind damage

  • Reduction planned around TPO and Conservation Area status where it applies
